The Tarot is a set of 78 cards with images depicting the human condition as an individual travels along the course of its own personal evolution. The cards make use of archetypal images which are meant to stir the unconscious mind bridging the gap with the individual's higher self. There are two parts to the Tarot. The major arcana and the minor arcana.
The major arcana illustrate the life path, lessons, and experiences that a soul typically passes through during the life span. This is useful in understanding which lesson is pertinent at any particular time.
The minor arcana deal with day-to-day life experiences. This is helpful in finding useful solutions to life problems.
Humans are a meaning-making species. We do it consciously or unconsciously but we do it, naturally just like breathing. When I first picked up a deck of Tarot cards I wondered at the meaning. I read the guide book yet it all felt so mysterious to me.
I put away the cards for decades only bringing them out periodically to see if I was still blind to the meaning. I was. I will never get it I voiced out loud. I do not understand symbols. I could not connect the dots. That I said is just who I am. But the desire to get to know the tarot did not leave.
The pandemic hit, which may or may not have been the impetus for me buying a couple of tarot decks. Anyway, I decided to take another stab at it. I looked at videos, websites, and classes on Udemy. While searching tarot on the internet I found Biddy Tarot, signed up for her emails. I wondered about her programs and called team biddy to discuss options. I settled on taking the Master the Tarot Card meanings program. I liked the idea of learning to read tarot intuitively. At last, I said I would have to call her back. I was going to consult the tarot. Up till this point, I had been getting good results consulting the Tarot for myself.
I did a five-card spread. At this point, I was relying on the book for meanings. I was using the Light Seer's deck almost exclusively. Question. What can I expect from taking the Master the Tarot Meaning course by Biddy Tarot? I shuffled the cards and laid them out. Here is what the cards said.
Card 1. 6 of Swords. Situation/present.
I am moving through a period of realignment and things can feel turbulent. Trust that a better future awaits on the other side of change. I may feel alone. Lean towards silver linings. Affirmation from the guide book, "I accept help as I easily cross this transition."
Card 2. 10 of pentacles. Challenge/past
The challenge should I choose to accept it would be to accept the possibility of success. Affirmation from the guidebook, "I am successful and share the wealth with those I love." For me this would be a challenge. Not the sharing part but success didn't seem to be in my "cards." It would be something to adjust to if this indeed were to happen.
Card 3. Death/rebirth. Guidance/future.
This will be an initiation process. I will get a newfound awareness. Something will end while something else will begin. Affirmation from the guidebook. "I allow myself to let go of the past in order to add energy to new beginnings."
Card 4. 5 of Pentacles. Focus/reason
The focus will be on my inner world. A focus will also be on my financial situation and health. Affirmation from the guidebook. "Doors that activate magical opportunities are always opening for me."
Card 5. Queen of Swords. Outcome/potential
I will become the master of my mind, a thought leader, an unbiased decision-maker an excellent communicator, giving wise and logical counsel. I will be perceptive, honest, and have integrity. Affirmation from the guidebook, "I speak with wisdom and clarity".
I was blown away. Could all that even be remotely true. If I took the class, that is what I could expect. Well, I was going to go with my intuition. It was time for a change. I called team biddy back and signed up for the class.
That reading I did right there sums up what tarot means to me. I read somewhere that someone called the Tarot a therapist in a box. The therapist is your own intuition, guiding as only it can. I did the above reading before I really opened myself to my internal guidance. As it turns out, that reading was the tip of my intuition iceberg. After getting to know my intuition, after biddy tarots programs, that is where things really took off.
When I do a Tarot reading for you, I use my intuition to help open yours. I call on my higher self and the universe to guide me in understanding what your higher self wants you to know through your question. Thus, allowing your intuition to take over from there. It's a win-win for both of us. I strengthen my connection to intuition and so do you. In addition, you are on your path towards living in your highest.
I love to read Tarot for others, so drop me an email today.
